Hard day at work? It’s easy to relax in Boston, study reveals

by Elizabeth Kanzeg Rowland

For those considering a move, factors like climate, commute length and school quality often play a role. But for many, culture and recreation are equally important considerations. A new study from The Action Network named Boston the best city in America for enjoying a sports event after work.

The sports company ranked 50 major cities nationwide based on categories like game availability, stadium experience and safety. Boston came out on top, scoring well in all categories and making Bean Town a great choice for sports fanatics looking to relocate.

The city scored 6.9/10 for stadium atmosphere in Boston’s iconic sports venues and 6.5/10 for its lively pub scene. City safety and pleasant weather boosted the winning score as well.

“Boston offers one of the most balanced and fan-friendly sports experiences in the country,” said a spokesperson from The Action Network. “From the energy of Fenway Park to the walkable downtown, it’s a city where catching a game after work isn’t just possible — it’s part of the culture.”
