Real estate tech platform Final Offer launches in Massachusetts

by Liz Hughes

Real estate tech platform Final Offer has officially launched in its home market, Boston, following success in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia metropolitan area (DMV) last year.

The company beta tested in Boston last spring, where it spent several months refining its platform before its DMV market launch on Oct. 19, 2022. Final Offer partnered with 10 teams in the region and has since expanded to include more than 1,000 registered agents and had more than 100 properties go under contract.

It works by publicly posting each offer in real time, leaving no guesswork for buyers.

Twenty agents in Boston, the MetroWest, South Shore and Cape Cod markets have partnered with the company already.

Lynn Donahue of Donahue Maley & Burns team in Wellesley, Massachusetts, said with Final Offer, they had a client receive $300,000 over the asking price on the first weekend because they gave all buyers the transparency to see the details of every offer as they were made.

“Without question, my seller was able to achieve a significantly better outcome because we ran the offer process through Final Offer,” she said. “In my seller’s words, ‘I love Final Offer and will recommend it to everyone I know.’”

The company says its more than $5 million in financial backing comes in large part from real estate agents in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Florida. It expects to launch later this year in other major U.S. markets.
