Massachusetts claims four top ranks in most expensive U.S. zip codes in 2020

by Kaylee Palak

Property Shark has released their article on most expensive U.S. zip codes in 2020 by closed home sales. They took into account all residential transactions closed between January 1, 2020, and October 15, 2020, with several ties in their ranks, resulting in 121 zip codes.

Massachusetts has lost Boston’s pricey Back Bay Area (02199) due to insufficient sales activity, but still has four entries in the top ranks. The most expensive zip in Massachusetts’ belongs to Nantucket (02554), claiming the 54th priciest zip in the U.S with a $1,825,000 median sale price.

With a 16% price gain, Wellesley Hills (02481) claimed the 68th spot with a $1,703,000 median. Beacon Hill (02108) took the 81st rank with a $1,600,000 median, and Weston (02493) finished in the 93rd spot with a $1,504,000 median.

Although Massachusetts had the heaviest presence among the country’s most expensive zip codes, it failed to claim the most expensive zip in the region due to Boston’s absence.
