Akar knows the area she represents well. She grew up in New England and has spent most of her life in New Hampshire and Boston. She is also a member of multiple local and national industry associations.

Akar makes yoga and meditation part of her daily routine. She also loves Boston sports, time with family and friends, and working hard to achieve all the goals she sets for herself.
