Beginning every transaction with a thorough explanation of the process, McNeil approaches his work as if he were the client. “I try to anticipate and answer any questions a customer may have,” he explains, adding that he’s always just a phone call or email away. “Being available when needed is a requirement of our industry.” With a business development coordinator handling the marketing, McNeil can focus on overseeing a team of processors to ensure smooth and successful transactions.
A member of the Guaranteed Rate President’s Club, McNeil ranks among the top 1% of originators in the country. He maintains a referral-based clientele, and in 2020 he doubled his business from the previous year. “Clients like that I am local to the market and can provide individualized attention,” he says. “It’s not like with an online mortgage company, where they feel like just another number.”
McNeil is a volunteer youth hockey coach for his son’s team and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, whether it’s on the way to the ice rink or field or relaxing at the beach.
