Rick Harrington is a mortgage lending natural, and as a senior loan officer at Guaranteed Rate Affinity, he combines his passions for real estate and finance to provide clients with the financial solutions that fit their needs. While Harrington serves a variety of customers, including first-time homebuyers, investors and high-net-worth clients, his specialty lies in corporate relocation and business development. “I enjoy helping corporate clients who are looking to coordinate large group moves,” he says, adding that he often works with clients who are relocating from other parts of the country and are unfamiliar with the Boston market. “This challenges me to find a loan product that provides the flexibility necessary to help them get into the right property.”

Prior to joining the real estate industry 15 years ago, Harrington obtained an MBA with a concentration in finance from Bentley University. Over the past decade, he’s been consistently named to the President’s Club, and has previously ranked among the top originators in the state by Scotsman Guide, an accomplishment he attributes in part to his strong understanding of product guidelines, programs and his ability to give clients and agents the answers they need on the spot. “I start by listening to their personal situation, then work with them to come up with a solution that best fits their financial needs,” he says of his strategy.

Harrington volunteers with Coldwell Banker Cares, Community Servings and Inner-City Scholarship Fund Boston. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids in Nantucket.
