Rene Rodriguez
Senior Vice President
Cabot & Co.
If you’re familiar with the Boston real estate market, chances are you’ve heard Rene Rodriguez’s name a time or two. After all, he’s often named to Curbed Boston’s list of Top 20 Real Estate Brokers in Boston. Rodriguez has been with Cabot & Co. for 20 years now, and as senior vice president, he takes great pride in mentoring his junior associates. His career has been a long and storied one, with some of his most recent successes including the sale of the largest penthouse at The Whitwell in Beacon Hill for $8.25 million, as well as the sale of a building at 401 Beacon Street in Back Bay that is being converted into six ultra-premium residences, with prices ranging from $6.2 million to $14.2 million. He is also recognized as one of the top multi-family and building sales brokers in greater Boston.
Rodriguez is one of the city’s leading experts on luxury real estate properties, especially in the Back Bay, South End and Beacon Hill neighborhoods. His clients include some of the city’s top business and civic leaders, including life sciences, e-commerce, academia, medicine, finance and private equity professionals. “They are all very busy people and want a seamless transaction,” Rodriguez says of his clients. “They expect me to anticipate problems before they happen and fix them.” Rodriguez takes great pride in the fact that his success stems in large part to positive referrals and works tirelessly to meet his clients’ needs and be a calming and knowledgeable guide throughout the sometimes chaotic buying or selling process. “I’m available anytime, anywhere,” he says. “No single transaction is ever as important as a relationship.”
Though he’s helped clients buy and sell some of the highest-profile properties in Boston, Rodriguez says that there isn’t one particular achievement that sticks out when he considers his career, “but rather, a culmination of successes derived from positive referrals and relationships I’ve developed over the past 20 years.” These relationships have led to him being considered among the industry leaders in the city, and he’s often asked to speak to business groups, civic organizations and at his alma mater, Babson College in Wellesley.
Rodriguez makes it a point to try to give back to the Boston community that he’s been a part of for so long by supporting local organizations and charities like Babson and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He’s also a patron of the arts, supporting the Huntington Theater Company and collecting art in his free time. Rodriguez also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
