Michael Dunsky
Branch Manager, Senior Loan Officer
Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.
Michael Dunsky has been a standout in the mortgage banking industry for much of his 29-year career. He has been consistently ranked among the top loan officers in the nation by Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive magazine. In November 2016, he joined Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. as branch manager and senior loan officer, launching the company’s first Boston area branch and attracting other accomplished originators to join him.
Dunsky began his career in 1988 as a loan processor and developed a strong credit and underwriting background. Four years later, he became an originator. Quickly establishing a strong reputation and a record for success, he achieved President’s Club status his second year of originating.
From first-time buyers to super jumbo loan borrowers, Dunsky’s clients come from all walks of life across the Boston and MetroWest region. They include real estate investors, move-up and downsizing buyers, and vacation home purchasers. Dunsky also assists clients with the complicated mortgage issues related to spousal separation, divorce or death.
Dunsky’s mission is to exceed his clients’ expectations on every level and make the home financing process as seamless as possible. “What I do as a loan officer is help people,” says Dunsky. “I provide advice, I educate and I solve problems. My team and I have a genuine appreciation for our clients and their financial well-being, and our clients can tell.”
The past year has been one of big change for Dunsky and his team following their move to Draper and Kramer Mortgage. The new environment and systems now allow them to close loans in 12 days, a level matched by few lenders. “I have a newfound appreciation for mortgage banking here,” Dunsky says. “By having loans approved long before needed, I can make the mortgage process exciting – or even enjoyable – for my clients. I’m having fun again doing what I love.”
Dunsky’s passion for helping others extends beyond his career. He has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 1996 and raises funds for RESPOND, a Boston-based group that assists victims of domestic violence.
