The home loan process can be complicated and stressful for borrowers, and Jason Gravelle aims to simplify the process. “A high percentage of my clients are first-time buyers and repeat past clients,” says Gravelle, branch manager and mortgage loan originator at HomeBridge Financial Services. “Getting the opportunity to provide a transparent explanation, not just what loan options are best for the client, but how and why those options are the best, is a great feeling.” With 20 years of experience as a loan officer, Gravelle is able to understand clients’ needs and make the process as seamless as possible.

Gravelle received Merrimack Mortgage’s Top Sales Production Award for 2013 and 2014, and last year, he was named to HomeBridge Financial Service’s President’s Club. This year, Gravelle helped his company grow by opening a new branch in Hanover, Massachusetts, and hiring loan officers, further expanding their reach in Boston’s South Shore. His proudest personal accomplishment this year was his oldest son graduating from college. “He is now in the real world, and I have even more gray hairs,” Gravelle says.

Gravelle entered the mortgage industry in 1997 after graduating from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in English. He worked for a family start-up mortgage company in Boston called Family Choice Mortgage. “I was exposed to the happenings of a mortgage company’s functions from the inside out,” he says. “It proved to be the best way to learn the business. It has provided a deep understanding of the whole business, not just sales responsibilities as most loan officers only learn.”

Gravelle is a board member for Fostering the Arts, a nonprofit organization that provides children in foster care or the juvenile court system opportunities to explore the arts by paying for dance, art, voice and instrument lessons, tickets for live shows, and more. “I am looking forward to leading fundraising events in the coming year to support the organization,” he says. Gravelle, a former JCU quarterback, is a die-hard fan and season ticket holder of the New England Patriots.
