Like most of her colleagues, Nidia Peguero felt uncertain about the market in 2024 due to high interest rates and low inventory. But that didn’t deter her. “I just did what I always do and remained consistent by working hard and sticking to the basics: prospecting for new clients, nurturing my relationships and follow up,” she recalls. “Simply put, I answer my phone, provide excellent service and stay true to myself, and had one of my best years.” Peguero, a long-time top-producing Realtor with Century 21 North East in Chelsea, earned the prestigious Centurion award in 2024 for the second time in her 20-year career.
Responsive, authentic and customer-service oriented, she brings warmth and charisma to the transaction process, treating each client as if they are her only one. Peguero assists everyone from first-time homebuyers to investors looking to jump into the landlord game in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley areas. Being a landlord herself, owning investment properties in Massachusetts and Florida, makes her an asset to clients looking for an experienced Realtor.
To better service her clients and expand her reach, Peguero recently became licensed in New Hampshire and closed upwards of $4 million in sales her first year.
Peguero’s career began in 1994 while working as a paralegal at a law firm in her hometown of Chelsea. “The firm’s partners were also real estate developers with a portfolio of several hundred units,” Peguero says. “I learned and participated in the purchase, sale and management of various types of real estate and legal matters, which ultimately led me to obtain my real estate license.”
Peguero has built a business based on trust and long-term relationships with clients. She sits on the board of Community Action Programs Inter-City, Inc. In her free time, she says, “it’s all about family.”
