Cambridge ranked the No. 1 family-friendly city in the U.S.

by Boston Agent

Cambridge has been named the most family-friendly city in the nation, according to iBuyer platform Opendoor.

Opendoor identified the best cities for families by analyzing and averaging the number of OpenStreetMap “family friendly” tags within 3 miles of all addresses in a city where an Opendoor Brokerage operates.

The tags include: bench, community center, drinking water, garden, kindergarten, museum, park, picnic site, playground, school, swimming pool, supermarket and waste basket.

Based on that methodology, Opendoor ranks the top 15 family-friendly cities as:

  1. Cambridge, Mass.
  2. Cliffside Park, N.J.
  3. Arlington, Va.
  4. Chandler, Ariz.
  5. Tracy, Calif.
  6. North Richland Hills, Texas
  7. Denver
  8. Portland. Ore.
  9. Boulder, Colo.
  10. Anaheim, Calif.
  11. Coral Gables, Fla.
  12. Kent, Ohio
