If your clients are looking for a reasonably priced home next to an MBTA stop, then you’d best avoid the Arlington Green Line station.
According to an Estately analysis, the median sales price for properties within a half-mile radius of the Arlington station is a hefty $1,177,500, while the price per square foot is $1,076. On the flip side, the most affordable station was the Suffolk Downs Blue Line in East Boston, where the median sales price is $208,000 and the price per square foot is $234.
Interestingly, Estately found that the MBTA’s Silver Line has the highest average price per square foot at $754. Following the Silver Line were: the Green Line “C” Branch ($708); the Green Line “B” Branch ($673); the Green Line “D” Branch ($672); the Orange Line ($627); the Red Line ($483); and the Blue Line ($479).
