Mark Jurilla, Senior Loan Officer, Private Wealth Mortgage Lender

U.S. Bank

After holding executive management roles at several banks, Mark Jurilla switched to a career in lending because it allows him to positively impact people’s lives.

“My previous roles provided me with a wealth of knowledge that has helped me find success in mortgage lending,” says Jurilla, senior loan officer U.S. Bank. He has over 20 years of experience in lending and reached top originator status nationally.

“In my career, I have developed the skill of relatability,” he says. “My clients at different financial statuses and needs can always find peace of mind with me as their lender.”

At each initial meeting, Jurilla listens to clients’ expectations and learns what they are looking for to make sure he delivers it. “In one transaction, you have multiple clients — the borrower, buyer-side agent, seller-side agent and closing attorney,” he explains. “They are my clients. Information needs to flow down to the parties involved. At times, they need answers right away, and at times, they need to access you for advice. I pride myself on being able to provide answers and being accessible.”

Entrepreneurial by nature, Jurilla considers himself the CEO of his business. “I can make decisions to make sure myself and my team can deliver exceptional service to our clients,” he says. “My team is critical to my success. Every day I communicate with my team to ensure that we are meeting the timelines that are expected from buyers and sellers.”

A volunteer coach for Newton Youth Soccer and Newton Athletic Association youth basketball, Jurilla sits on the boards of Newton Community Pride and the Zervas PTO. Outside of work, he enjoys golf and participating in his kids’ activities.
