In the real estate industry for 43 years, Stephen Bremis started his career when he was 18 years old, selling his first home before he graduated from high school. “Interest rates were around 15% or more at that time, but I didn’t know how bad it was because I was just a kid getting into the business,” Bremis recalls. That was in 1981. He continues to carry on his father’s legacy in Somerville, where his father started his real estate business in 1955.
The founder and CEO of Steve Bremis Realty Group, he boasts extensive experience. Bremis is a Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Staging Professional, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative and Senior Real Estate Specialist, while also holding a GREEN designation. When his family business was in need of a “reboot” after more than 50 years, Bremis invented a new logo, and the Bremis Collection luxury brand was born. “It’s a newer, refreshing way of doing business aimed at the needs of our high-end luxury clients,” he explains. “The Bremis Collection brand now generates 70-80% of our business.”
The Somerville Times named Bremis the Best Real Estate Agent in 2023. Boston magazine featured him in top-producer issues from 2019 to 2021, and then in 2023, and the American Institute of Real Estate Agents classified him among its 10 Best for Client Satisfaction from 2019 to 23. Named Best of the Best by Market Surveys of America from 2019 to 2023 and awarded Best of 2022 Real Estate Agents by the Somerville Awards Program, he also was listed as a top 10 agent by Best of the Best Real Estate Agents from 2021 to 2023.
