The secret to Dylan Costello’s success is curiosity. Being curious about real estate and people lead him to study books, continue education and understand his clients better.
“I love this business and enjoy searching with clients,” says Costello, a real estate agent who’s CEO of the Dylan Costello Team. “In saying that, we’re guiding people through the largest purchases in their life! We take this responsibility seriously. Business comes first.”
Both Costello and his team are certified members of Coldwell Banker’s prestigious Global Luxury brand and have recently earned several awards, including 2023 International Sterling Society – Team; 2021 International President’s Circle – Individual; and 2020 International Sterling Society – Individual. But he’s most proud of nearly tripling their year-over-year output, signing some amazing new-construction projects that are launching this year, and increasing the number of investors they serve. In 2023, multifamily investors made up 47% of the team’s transactions.
It wasn’t always that way. Costello’s first few years in real estate focused on rentals, which led him to own a small property management company. “This venture taught me many valuable lessons and provided me with numerous opportunities to practice professionalism and patience,” he recalls. “Ultimately I preferred guiding family, friends and clients in their search for a new home or investment property.” He soon pivoted from property management to sales full-time. Ever ambitious, he moved from selling residential properties to investment and development opportunities. Now he dedicates much of his time to new-construction sellouts. Costello serves luxury developers and investors in Greater Boston, South Shore and MetroWest.
He tends to develop strong relationships with clients that often turn into friendships through accountability, resilience and execution. He says an immersive and educational real estate journey along with a tremendous work ethic set his team apart from the competition.
