A huge accomplishment for Shant Banosian in 2021 was becoming licensed in all 50 states. A long process, he is confident it was worth it, as he is now able to help clients anywhere in the U.S. “I wanted to stay connected to clients no matter where life took them,” he admits. “Now, no matter where our clients go, I’m proud to say we can help them.”
In the lending business for 18 years, Banosian is executive vice president of sales with Guaranteed Rate.
“I have the right tools through Guaranteed Rate’s technology platform, the best team in place and a streamlined approach to make the mortgage process fast and simple,” he says. “Today’s homebuying market is competitive, and buyers need to work with a team that will go above and beyond for them. One of the things we have focused on in the past year is accelerating the home financing process by providing a pre-commitment letter instead of a preapproval. Through this offering, we have been able to increase the speed of the loan process, while at the same time making our buyers more competitive against cash offers.”
Going above and beyond for clients doesn’t stop at a fast mortgage process. Banosian prides himself on being accessible around the clock. “We are available 24/7,” he says. “If a client has a question or a partner needs information, my team and I get back to them right away. It’s a fast-paced market that can be stressful, so we believe that having a direct line of communication at all times puts our clients at ease.”
Banosian has been the top loan officer in the country since 2019 and the top loan officer in Massachusetts since 2014, funding over $2.2 billion in 2021. Community giving is a huge priority for Shant and his team, who partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Greater Boston Food Bank, Soles4Souls and the Guaranteed Rate Foundation.
