With an expansive background in high tech, it’s easy to see why Realtor Angela Harkins has consistently been on the leading edge of the real estate industry over her 21-year career. After opening Angela Harkins & Assoc. in 2008, she joined forces in 2015 with Lamacchia Realty, where she offers her services to clients spanning from northern Massachusetts to southern New Hampshire. Harkins has since been awarded such accolades as Realtor of the Year, the Distinguished Service Award and Educator of the Year, as well as having served as president of the Northeast Association of Realtors. She also holds Lamacchia Realty’s President’s Club Elite designation.

Harkins credits much of her success in the field to her former professional experience. Prior to 2001, she served as a technical project manager, trainer and manager; ultimately, she rose to the position of director of technology for a telecommunications firm. By the time she obtained her dual real estate licenses in 2001, she had attained a level of technology expertise that she readily applied to her new career.

“At that time,” Harkins explains, “the industry was not very technical, so I was ahead of the curve from the beginning in that respect … the people, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, technical and management experience obtained during these roles helped me tremendously in the transition to a successful real estate career.”

Since that time, Harkins has been a consistent top producer. 

“At the end of the day,” she notes, “this is a people business, and I can’t think of anything I like more than working with people to help reach their goals. I have met most of my friends through my real estate business and am so grateful for that.”

When she’s not applying new technological advances to her real estate approach, Harkins enjoys painting watercolors, engaging in water sports, golfing and flying her drone.
