Bill Poirier, Senior Loan Officer

Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

Not all career paths follow straight lines. Many times, there are a few unexpected detours along the way. Bill Poirier found himself at one such crossroads in 1991 when the opportunity to join the mortgage business arose while he was working in commercial printing sales. Although the two industries were very different, Poirier made the leap into his new career. Today, with over 30 years of home financing experience, he is a senior loan officer at the Westborough branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage.

Poirier makes a point to provide impeccable clarity, education and comfort to each borrower. “I schedule time to talk with every client so we can discuss the process in full,” he says. “I also send each client a personalized video, walking them through a total cost analysis of their specific transaction.” Because he takes the time and genuinely gives his clients the care their loans deserve, Poirier receives a steady stream of referrals from people who know that he can get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Poirier’s ability to work with all types of borrowers stems not only from his seasoned expertise and wide range of loan products, but also from his history of living in different parts of the country. “It allowed me to appreciate our differences as well as our similarities,” he says of the experience. Having met all kinds of individuals, he understands that his clients’ lives have numerous intricacies, and he can cater to their unique needs.

After a fantastic 2020 in which he closed over $103 million in mortgages, Poirier has no shortage of goals and aspirations for the future. He hopes to serve over 400 clients every year, following the Rotary International organization’s credo of “Service Above Self,” and to continue adding talented mortgage professionals to his team.
