Yoany Vargas will serve as The Institute of Real Estate Management’s next president of the Boston Metropolitan No. 4 chapter. Vargas succeeded Anthony Susi in the role and began her one-year term on Jan. 1.

Vargas currently serves as senior regional property manager at Housing Management Resources Inc. in North Quincy and has 22 years of industry experience. She’s a Certified Property Manager, Accredited Residential Manager, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Certified Credit Compliance Professional and National Affordable Housing Professional.

“It was a pleasure to pass the gavel to Yoany,” said Susi in a press release. “Her wide range of knowledge and experience in the property management industry combined with outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills will be of tremendous value as we move forward.”

“It’s with great excitement that I begin my term as IREM Boston chapter president,” said Vargas. “We have several key initiatives over the course of the next year, including increased scholarship opportunities, expanded educational offerings and a continued focus on diversity, equity and inclusion as we pave the way for the next generation of industry leaders.”
