The city of Boston and local partners opened Logan Square Residences, a Hyde Park community for adults ages 55 and older.

The development will feature 63 residences and marks a collaboration between the Mayor’s Office of Housing, B’nai B’rith Housing, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, MassDevelopment, Eastern Bank and Redstone Equity Partners.

All apartments at Logan Square Residences will be reserved for seniors earning up to 30%, 50% or 60% of area median income.

The development sets aside some project square footage for amenities like a fitness center, library, laundry room, community space and commercial area. Outdoor features include a courtyard, bocce court and bike storage spaces.

“These 63 new homes in Logan Square mean more of our older residents can live full lives in the communities they have contributed to and know well,” Boston Chief of Housing Sheila Dillon said. “B’nai B’rith Housing has been an important partner in delivering high-quality affordable homes for Boston’s older adults, and we appreciate their leadership and collaboration throughout this development process.”
