Nicole Rideout Hartwick named Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty president

Nicole Rideout Hartwick has been appointed president of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty

The company’s chief strategy officer since 2021, Rideout Hartwick will lead the brokerage’s strategic growth and focus on enhancing support for its agents across Massachusetts. 

Company founders Larry Rideout and Paul McGann will remain owners. 

“Throughout my 13-year career at Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, I have been lucky enough to learn from some of the greatest minds in real estate,” said Rideout Hartwick. “My father, Larry Rideout, has dedicated his career to the local real estate industry and community and, together, we have created the largest and most successful real estate company based in the state of Massachusetts. I am energized to continue our tradition of innovation, expertise and best-in-class service.”

Rideout Hartwick began her career at Gibson Sotheby’s  when she was a college student, supporting sales agents and handling rental transactions. She later worked in real estate public policy in Washington, D.C., before returning to the brokerage in 2014.

After tripling gross commission income in the relocation and referrals department, Rideout Hartwick assumed the roles of vice president of business development and then chief strategy officer, with a focus on scaling the company through mergers and acquisitions. 

A graduate of Ascend, an intensive 46-week executive leadership program offered by Anywhere Real Estate Inc., Rideout Hartwick is a member of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. She also serves as a government affairs committee member for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and is a former chair of the Young Professionals Network.
