A new, luxury apartment community in Cambridge celebrated its grand opening this week. 

Toll Brothers Apartment Living and joint venture partner PGIM announced the grand opening of The Laurent, a seven-story luxury townhome community at 55 Wheeler St. in Cambridge.

John McCullough, president of Toll Brothers Apartment Living, said the Laurent represents his company’s commitment to bringing luxury living to “vibrant locations positioned for growth.”

“Together with our partners at PGIM, we have set a new standard of apartment living in Cambridge while expanding our footprint in the Boston area,” McCullough said. 

The Laurent property boasts 525 units and is the Toll Brothers’ sixth multifamily development in the Bay State. The units are a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, along with townhomes. They feature Caesarstone quartz countertops, hardwood-style flooring, stainless steel appliances, smart home technology and floor-to-ceiling windows. A select number of them have balconies or patios and offer views of Boston. 

It also features 21,000 square feet of amenity space that includes two fitness centers, a saltwater pool with lap lane and cabanas, landscaped courtyards, coworking spaces and a social hub with a bar and gaming lounge, as well as a rooftop deck with views of Fresh Pond and Boston.
