The Norfolk suburb of Milton is the No. 8 small city in the U.S., according to a new analysis from WalletHub.
Looking at five areas – affordability, economic health, education and health, quality of life, and safety – WalletHub ranked a considerable number of small cities across the country, with Westfield, Indiana coming in at No. 1.
For Milton, the community’s high rating of education/health and safety propelled it into the top 10 (it was No. 3 and 42 in the nation, respectively, in those categories). Indeed, thanks to the state’s universal healthcare system, Massachusetts’ small cities were far and away the best insured, with the nation’s top five featuring Arlington, Needham, Lexington, Wellesley and Brookline.
