With a decade in the real estate industry, Melanie K. Fleet of Keller Williams Chestnut Hill has scaled the ladder from a rental agent to breaking $140 million in career sales. Working with everyone from first-time buyers on a budget to luxury sellers and 1031 investors, Fleet has developed a loyal following in Newton and the surrounding towns. “I honestly love working with everyone. I’ve sold everything from $200,000 condos to homes worth more than $2 million, but what matters is the relationships that come from those sales,” she says.

A former waitress, Fleet joined the industry at age 29, excited by the challenge and limitless potential. “I got here through hard work and passion — and going above and beyond always,” she says. “If you do it right, the referrals and business will come.”

Fleet currently serves on the board of directors and the affiliate committee of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. Last year, she chaired the organization’s Young Professionals Network and organized a drive for the Newton Food Pantry. She has also hosted toy drives and sponsored events for Project Smile.

For the past two years, Fleet has been named the top individual agent in her office and included among The Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends list of top-performing real estate agents. “The real reward is happy clients and having a career I love,” she says.
