Over the past 12 years, Susan Gormady has built a successful real estate career serving Reading, Massachusetts and elsewhere in Middlesex county. Originally from Boston, Gormady moved to Reading in 2009 after meeting her husband. She strategically focused on establishing herself as a local expert in the local market — a move that led to her becoming known as “the Reading Realtor.” She earned her real estate license in 2013 and has since helped more than 400 clients navigate the home-buying and selling process.
Gormady’s business style is both process-driven and personable, but also empathetic. Whether helping first-time homebuyers, downsizers or clients navigating estate sales, Gormady is dedicated to her clients. She formed the Susan Gormady Group in March 2020 and mentors other agents through the industry’s ebbs and flows. She now enjoys the work-life balance afforded by having a dynamic team.
Gormady has ranked as the top performer in her office since 2017, and the Susan Gormady Group has been the top-selling team in Reading since 2020. She characterizes her approach as “concierge-level service,” similar to the high-end retail sales work she did early in her career. Her commitment to a top-notch experience has garnered a loyal following, with much of her business coming from referrals, past clients and social media.
Outside of real estate, Gormady is deeply involved in philanthropy, including the Women’s League of Reading, the Strokes for Stroke golf tournament, Austin Prep scholarships and the Pan-Mass Challenge, as well as the Red Roots Wrestling Club. A passionate cook, she dreams of opening a breakfast diner and enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband at their New Hampshire mountain house near the Waterville Valley.
