Straight out of college 15 years ago, Sean Goudreau took a chance on a career in lending. With a business degree and a focus on finance and economics, he landed a job at a small mortgage company. He was determined to make the most of the opportunity.
“I didn’t have any other options and was living with my parents at the time and figured I’d try it,” he recalls. “I would rather work hard with the chance of making it, as opposed to sitting at my parents’ house complaining about not having a job. I had a finance background, but I was intrigued by the idea of having no limits, those who put in the time do well and you’re able to really help people.”
That motivation and drive have never faded. Over the years, Goudreau has built a reputation as a results-driven mortgage professional who simplifies the lending process for his clients. Known for his direct communication and ability to close loans in two weeks, he ensures every borrower understands their options.
Goudreau’s business has grown 150% year over year, a testament to his resilience. He has been recognized with industry honors, including Young Gun of the Year at Mortgage Professional America’s 2019 Power Originator Summit as well as an induction into Rate’s Presidents Club in 2025.
In 2024, over the course of 48 hours, he completed two marathon-length races. He ran the Boston Marathon dressed as Forrest Gump and completed the Tough Ruck 26.2 Boston while carrying a 45-pound pack. He ran 52.4 miles in just over 10 hours total, a testament to his drive and perseverance.
