Ashley K. Bernon joined the Law Offices of Sonja B. Selami as director of marketing and client relations three years ago. Her goal was to raise the firm’s profile and grow its client base in the Greater Boston market. Since then, it’s been named the top real estate law firm on Modern Luxury’s Luxe List. Bernon later was instrumental in landing the firm’s largest closing, a client’s condo purchase in the new One Dalton luxury building.
“Our goal is to facilitate real estate transactions for buyers or sellers who require legal assistance to complete a closing,” says Bernon. “Simultaneously, I am responsible for helping to position our law office as the ‘go-to’ firm to seamlessly execute all types of real estate transactions.” Fluent in Spanish, she works closely with Hispanic clients, assisting lawyers with their closings and helping listing brokers position their properties. Recently, Bernon has expanded the firm’s client base to include Boston-area professional athletes and celebrities, for whom she has become a trusted real estate liaison and advisor.
Earning her real estate license at 19, the New Orleans native combines her passions for fashion and philanthropy to host, plan or sponsor fashion-related charity events for numerous causes. Recipients include the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; the Berkshire Hills Music Academy, which serves youngsters with cognitive disabilities; the Breast Cancer Research Foundation; and the Pan-Mass Challenge bikeathon, which funds cancer research and treatment.
Bernon helps Vogue magazine identify real estate and charity partners for events she hosts each season and presents two or three fashion launches a year. The mother of two completed the 2017 Boston Marathon despite having never run a long-distance race, and also has twice competed in the Pan-Mass Challenge.
