Tom Truong, the area VP office leader for Carrington Real Estate Services in Wellesley, tells us how agents can strike a perfect work-life balance.
1. Use one calendar for both your personal and business lives. For those working on teams, have everyone share calendars, as well. Color code your activities: green for family/personal time; red for business/critical/must-do tasks; blue for community service, church, temple, etc.; and yellow for recreation, exercise time, and so on.
2. Put in family time and vacation times first, and be sure your family knows that’s the priority. Then put in time to meet with your clients – as far in advance as possible. Schedule open houses, times to preview properties, listing appointments, walk throughs, home inspections, closings, client parties, and breakfast/lunch/dinners with current and past clients
3. Leverage your CRM database to it’s fullest potential. Building that database is critical to a long-term, healthy work-life balance. You do not need to find new leads daily; working with past clients is so much more profitable.
