The home of late Boston Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino recently hit the market for over $7 million. Aside from agents’ fees, all proceeds from the sale will be donated to charity.
Lucchino helped lead the Red Sox to three World Series championships and worked with charitable organizations like Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Special Olympics.
“I think many people in Boston and New England know my uncle Larry as a hard-charging baseball executive who was a fierce competitor, but he also fiercely loved helping people and giving back,” Lucchino’s nephew David Lucchino told CBS.
Lucchino’s six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Brookline estate sits on a 0.75-acre corner lot and features amenities like a gym, wine cellar, bocce court and heated pool.
The 9,755-square-foot home was built in 2000.
