Multifamily developer Wood Partners broke ground on April 1 on a new fully electric community in Bolton. Units may be available as soon as December.
The development, dubbed Alta Nashoba Valley, will feature high-efficiency heat pumps and on-demand hot water systems that eliminate the need for gas-powered energy.
“This approach is new to the Massachusetts market for non-subsidized housing and is more environmentally friendly in comparison to gas-powered facilities,” Wood Partners said in a press release.
Located off I-495 at the Bolton Office Park campus, the 229-unit community will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units across four buildings. Residents will have access to charging stations for electric vehicles.
Alta Nashoba Valley marks the latest advance in Atlanta-based Wood Partners’ expansion into New England. Over the last 12 months, the company began construction on developments in Warwick, Rhode Island; Londonderry, New Hampshire; and Abington, Massachusetts. Combined, these communities will create over 900 apartments.
“We are very active in the region and remain dedicated to providing high-quality living spaces for the community,” Wood Partners Development Manager Kelen Araujo said.
