Belmont’s Coldwell Banker Realty donates $900 to help families in need

by Liz Hughes

Coldwell Banker Realty in Belmont has donated $900 to Household Goods, a local charity that provides gently used furniture and household items to families in need.

The office made the donation on behalf of the company’s philanthropic arm, Coldwell Banker Realty Cares.

Branch manager Kendra Wright said many of Coldwell Banker Realty’s agents have worked with Household Goods to stage homes and help clients downsize.

“It is a perfect match, as Household Goods repurposes furniture in good condition and donates it to people who are transitioning from homelessness, helping them set up a comfortable new home,” Wright said.

Wright presented the check to Household Goods board member Susan Arapoff at an event at the office that coincided with the companies’ Pie in the Sky pickup event. Pie in the Sky supports Community Servings, an organization that delivers freshly prepared, medically tailored meals to individuals and families facing serious or chronic health conditions, as well as those struggling with food insecurity.
