Century 21 expands in Southern Massachusetts with new female-owned affiliation

by Liz Hughes

Century 21 Real Estate LLC has expanded its presence in Southern Massachusetts with the opening of, a family-owned affiliation with offices in Mendon and Framingham.

Broker/owners Deborah Flanagan and Naomi Vogt founded the dual office brokerage in late 2017. They both previously worked together at an independent brokerage.

Flanagan’s entry into real estate was inspired by her experiences in house flipping and her academic background in art and design. As a broker, Flanagan dedicates her efforts to managing business growth while ensuring high standards in both the operational and client-facing aspects of the company.

Vogt credits her experience as a young professional managing multiple responsibilities at a global database company for giving her a solid foundation for moving into real estate. Vogt’s interpersonal skills are crucial in her role overseeing onboarding and coaching for the firm’s affiliated agents. She also directs the company’s marketing strategies, both online and offline.

Their firm specializes in all various types of real estate including luxury properties, farms and land, historic homes, and new construction. This specialization, along with its dedication, has earned the brokerage local recognition, such as the My FM 101.3 “Quest for the Best” 2023 Gold awards for Real Estate Company and Commercial Real Estate Agent, as well as the 2023 Silver award for Real Estate – Customer Service.

“We’ve been incredibly fortunate to establish a well-known name for ourselves locally, but as growth-oriented owners, Deb and I knew we had to look for more,” Vogt said. “The Century 21 brand was the answer. With access to these world-class professional development tools, we can quickly expand our reach and integrate new and experienced agents alike without compromising our culture and independence.”

“As a business owner with a strong marketing background, I understand the importance of embracing all of the trending changes in modern technology,” said Flanagan. “It’s essential for our brokerage to provide agents and clients with competitive marketing and advertising strategies. These tools can help guide us to our core passion within the industry — making a difference in someone’s life while nurturing long term relationships.

“This is why Naomi and I knew we had to start our own brokerage. We take great pride in merging the traditional, human-centric approach to real estate with our ability to innovate and implement today’s latest solutions.”

That approach also extends into the company’s local philanthropic efforts, which include contributing to local food pantries, hosting community events and fundraisers and sponsoring nearby sports teams.

“Deb and Naomi have done an amazing job becoming a premier real estate provider in Southern Massachusetts after only a few short years,” said Mike Miedler, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “Not only do they have the industry know-how, but they also have the drive to keep getting bigger and better. They’re already tech and marketing savvy, which is why we’re so excited to see what limits their company can push with access to the Century 21 global network, tools and services.”
