Boston ranks in the top 10 cities for home renovation spending, according to a report from Pro Tool Reviews.
The professional tool review site analyzed home renovation spending across the U.S. and determined that California is the No. 1 state in the country for such expenditures, with residents spending $72.4 billion in the past two years.
Boston ranks No. 6 when it comes to renovation spending. Bostonians spent $13.9 billion in the past two years.
The top cities for renovation spending were New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.
Across the country, remodelers spent more than $641 billion on home renovations in the past two years, with the most common projects relating to water heating, HVAC, flooring, plumbing and windows and doors
