High-end amenities, an urban locale, a spacious estate … there are many ways to define a “luxury” listing. However, a price point of $1 million seems like a good place to start. That’s how Point2 considers luxury in a recent study.
The real estate trend site compared the share of luxury listings across the 30 largest U.S. cities — and Boston is among the top echelon.
Coming in at No. 5, Boston’s share of listings over $1 million is a whopping 53.1%. For listings over $5 million, that number drops to 9.4% — still a considerable share, surpassed only by Los Angeles. The city also has a median price of $799,000.
