Despite a national slowdown in rent increases, Boston rents continue to remain some of the most expensive in the country.
While renters are starting to see some relief — the national median asking rent fell in September for the first time all year with a 0.7% — renters in Boston continue to pay high prices, according to a new Dwellsy report.
Specifically, Boston’s median asking rent in September was $3,000, the same as in August and 7.9% higher than a year before.
Boston rents are even higher than in San Francisco and New York and second only to those in San Jose, California.
