Bruce MacDonald joins Mortgage Network’s Danvers office

by Liz Hughes

Bruce MacDonald Jr. has joined Mortgage Network as a loan officer in the company’s Danvers office where he’ll be working with buyers throughout Massachusetts

The rise in interest rates, compounded by the increase in home prices and limited available home inventory means serious buyers need to act quickly, MacDonald said in a press release.

“Properties that are new to the market are selling fast, which is why it is critical to get a pre-approval now instead of waiting until you find a home,” he said. “I encourage homebuyers to prepare and know their borrowing limit so they can quickly make an offer. Then, they should be ready to sign a purchase and sales agreement in short order.”

A native of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MacDonald currently lives in Danvers and has spent the past 30 years working in advertising and sales management on the North Shore with the Boston Globe, the Salem News, the Gloucester Daily Times and the Daily Times of Newburyport.

“We are delighted to have Bruce join the Danvers office,” said Mortgage Network Sales Manager Sonny Romano. “He has many strong ties within the community and knows the market well, so we’re confident he can help any borrower with their home financing needs.”

MacDonald is vice president of the Manchester Club of Manchester-by-the-Sea, a 503(B) non-profit and serves on the executive board of The Elder Brethren Association of Manchester-by-the-Sea. He has an executive MBA from Endicott College and a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in finance from Northeastern University.
