Several Greater Boston real estate firms were ranked among the Boston Globe’s “Top Places to Work” survey, which sampled more than 70,000 employees at 332 companies to find the area’s finest workplaces.
Based on such measurements as direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay, and benefits, Boston brokerages appeared in all stages of the survey, as our charts below show. Click on the tabs to adjust between large, medium and small employers:

I have a problem with surveys, “which sampled more than 70,000 employees at 332 companies to find the area’s finest workplaces.” , but didn’t see fit to sample employees from ALL employers since in this case, those employers would obviously not be considered as a possibility for being included in this survey. This is an example of misleading MEDIA coverage.
Hi Paul, thanks for your comment. The Globe invited more than 2,000 companies in total to participate, but it was the aforementioned 332 that went through the complete process.
No more emails!!!
Did only employees take the survey? Or were agents surveyed as well? Agents are typically Independent Contractors, so perhaps this is just rating the office managers, admin, etc. of those real estate offices that were selected for the survey?
That’s a good question, Jordan. I’m assuming the Globe used the term “employees” for convenience sake, and that for brokerages participating in the survey, all agents affiliated were surveyed.
