For nearly three decades, Maureen Schlegel has been helping clients achieve their real estate goals in the Greater Boston area. Known for her friendly, solutions-oriented approach, she specializes in everything from condos to multifamily investments.
Schlegel’s interest in real estate began with her love of renovation shows like “This Old House,” which she watched with her father. Her lifelong connection to Malden strengthened her appreciation for the city’s unique character and charm. “I grew up in Malden and have lived there since I was a little girl,” she shares. “My children have also lived there, and it was just a fit, since I knew the city inside and out.”
Her background in banking adds another layer of expertise, allowing her to guide clients through contracts and negotiations with confidence.
This year marked a significant milestone, as Schlegel transitioned to Leading Edge Real Estate after 18 years with her previous brokerage. “Making the change was scary, but I didn’t miss a beat,” she says. “I’m always available and answer my phone about 95% of the time, unless I’m with a client.”
Her dedication to her clients and community has earned her numerous accolades throughout her career, including the 2023 Masters Ruby and Quality Service awards during her time with Century 21. Beyond serving her clients, she mentors agents, writes procedure manuals and leads training classes, drawing on her degree in education. “I feel like my business style is fun and easy, but I am all business when I need to be, and I have a process for everything to keep me organized,” she explains. Despite the challenges of change, she strives to deliver exceptional service to her clients.
When she’s not working, Schlegel enjoys cooking, sudoku puzzles and sports.
