Balancing a career in real estate with his job as an ICU nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, Shawn McEntee is tirelessly committed to helping others persevere through challenging times. “As a nurse, it is my nature to care, and that trait has created a strong foundation for my role in real estate,” says McEntee, a Realtor with Classified Realty.
Currently living on the North Shore after a decade’s stint in Dedham, McEntee applies his personal experience as a real estate investor and homeowner to assist sellers and buyers in and around Boston. Known for jumping on a good opportunity, McEntee lets nothing slip by him. “I could be at a wedding and a client will text me about a home that just hit the market, and I will drop everything and get as much info about the property so I can make a showing appointment ASAP,” he says. “One time this past year, a home hit the market Tuesday morning, we toured the home a couple of hours later and had an accepted offer that night! The home wasn’t even on the market a full day, but moving quickly ensured my client didn’t miss out on the home she loves.”
Despite the chaos of being a nurse during COVID, McEntee has had his most productive year in real estate yet. “I believe my success is based on trust,” he explains, adding that his buyers and sellers appreciate his calming demeanor, overall transparency and flexibility. “A lot of my clients are in health care, and they value the fact that I understand the challenges of touring homes with erratic and unpredictable work schedules and child care duties.”
Certified as a Pricing Strategy Advisor and a Seller Representative Specialist, McEntee is a member of both the National Association of Realtors and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
