What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was a billing coordinator supervisor for the sports medicine department at Children’s Hospital Boston. We worked with the Boston Ballet dancers and it was a fulfilling job knowing I was, in any small way, helping the doctors help the dancers and athletes getting better.
 
 
Where did you grow up? I grew up in Brazil and moved to Boston with my mom when I was 17.
 
 
Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to do many different things, including being a hotel owner! 🙂 But my passion is with sales! I excelled in various jobs that I worked in as a seller. My frst sales job was selling bus tickets to various towns around Brazil. I was 15.
 
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Play with my kids, travel and read novels.
 
 
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Oprah Winfrey. I see her as an inspiration to help others while still being an excellent entrepreneur and being an example of how you can succeed when you really want something and you have the right mindset.
 
What is Boston’s best-kept secret? Boston Common. No matter how many times you visit, you always find something different! 🙂
 
 
What do you love most about the industry? The connection with so many different people, and being able to learn something different from all of them. It’s an enriching experience!
 
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I like to humanize more our work by not just doing what’s best for my client, but doing it with them every step of the way. This relationship goes beyond the closing date. Our clients tends to call us their angels, so we decided to intimate our MG Group as “The Real Estate Angels.” I’m also excellent in growing investors, by planning and helping them to get where they want to be and/or they need to be.
 
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Having to work or interact with unethical real estate professionals (agents, attorneys, appraisers, loan officers).
 
 
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Work to get your clients what you would want for yourself and the organic referrals surely will be plenty. You also have to make yourself known in your niche.
 
 
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Aside from being a Mom, wife and Realtor at the same time, it’s being able to see some of my investor clients starting from nothing and getting to large portfolios and generating wealth beyond their hopes.
 
 
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? Listening to a podcast “Passive Real Estate Investing.” I’m reading “The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg, listening to Bible studies and watching motivational videos.
 
 
What’s your favorite meal in Boston? Clam chowder and Salmon from Temazcal Tequila Cantina
 
 
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? The Trinity Church and the New England Aquarium
 
 
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? A seller fired two different attorneys because they were right and he was wrong. Lol
 
 
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? That I’m my mom and dad’s 10th child and that Maria Silveira (my partner) is the first.
 
 
What is your favorite vacation spot and why? Ko Olina Beach, Oahu, Hawaii Great weather, nice beach water temperatures, great for sightseeing, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
 
 
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Service others like you would like to be served!
 
 
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media? Elon Musk, Barbara Corcoran, Fermin Goup, Sarkis Group, Tony Robins
