On Wednesday Sept. 9, Energy Datametrics, a software and technology services provider of energy efficient management programs, introduced their new do-it-yourself energy evaluation app, Homeselfe, which is available for free on both the App Store on iOS, and Google Play for Android phones.
The app features a summary of homeowners’ current energy use, along with ideas for saving energy, saving money, information about energy rebates and access to local contractors.
The initial evaluation can be taken through the app itself, or it can also be completed online at homeselfe.com. After completing the evaluation, which asks the owner to identify as much as they can about the way their house is built and checks the answers against the most energy-efficient option, the homeowner will be able to access the app’s features aimed at reducing their energy consumption and saving the homeowner money.
“President Obama has recently called on Americans to be conscious of their energy consumption,” said Sukant Jain, co-founder and CEO of Energy Datametrics, “we are thrilled to finally launch it to families across America.”
Homeselfe is designed to help homeowners take responsible steps in improving energy efficiency in their homes. Saving energy will also help homeowners by improving the value and condition of their home.
