Nathan Hartseil, Senior Loan Officer/Branch Manager

Main Street Home Loans

With his Midwestern sensibility, charisma and work ethic, Nathan Hartseil has won over New Englanders.

Although Hartseil, a senior loan officer and branch manager with Main Street Home Loans, is proud of his reputation and recognition in the industry, he really enjoys knowing that he is “the guy” his attorneys, realtors and repeat clients reference when they tell friends and family, “I have the guy who can get you into your forever home, better terms on existing loans or access to equity to realize other goals.”

From application to closing, it’s all handled in-house. “Part of my value proposition is offering a local presence, being accessible and having a solid roster,” says Hartseil, noting that his staff of support and production personnel combines seasoned veterans with recruits from diverse professional backgrounds like tailoring, financial-planning and hospitality. “They offer fresh approaches and attitudes to the lending space.”

Hartseil’s command of lending programs comes from nearly two decades of experience in residential finance. “I have the ability to accommodate the full spectrum of needs and complexities of borrowers who are referred to me,” he says. His capabilities as a direct lender allow him to assume the role of client advocate and steward. “The benefit of being a direct lender affords us the ability to get deals done that would not be possible using other channels,” he explains. “My team welcomes the opportunity to impress those who may have been disappointed by other lenders.”

A former Marine, Hartseil has leveraged the qualities instilled in him by the military to become a stand-out loan officer. “Who can you rely on,” he asks, “if not a Marine?”

The pandemic demonstrated his team’s ability to adapt to sudden changes in the marketplace. Still, Hartseil feels encouraged by the promise of a revitalized and more practical housing market. He is also eager to relaunch the office’s trademarked “Bourbon Fridays,” where clients and friends are invited to the office for drinks and to get to know the team.
