In 1995, John Marroni left his career as an engineer to seek more flexibility in his life. His brother offered him a position in his office as a mortgage broker, and Marroni jumped at the opportunity. He built his career as a broker in Boston from the ground up, and his business grew quickly. With his technical background, Marroni was amazed at how the mortgage industry had made financing a home so complicated, and he achieved rapid success by simplifying the process for others.
Today, with 26 years of experience, Marroni is a mortgage advisor with a diverse background, a deep well of knowledge and the capability of handling anything in the mortgage realm. As a vice president of residential lending at the Danvers branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp., he is a valued resource for clients, professionals and industry peers across Massachusetts.
Marroni’s main goal is to continue simplifying the mortgage process. He takes the time to understand his clients’ situations and goals so he can create streamlined plans to help them reach their objectives. “I’m here to help my clients first and foremost,” Marroni says. “We offer everything from reverse mortgages and construction loans to jumbo loans and bridge loans, and we even work with clients with credit scores as low as 580.” Marroni is also a Certified Divorce Lending Professional who is adept at assisting with the unique mortgage challenges that arise during divorce.
On top of his accomplished career as a mortgage originator, Marroni has co-hosted a live radio program called “The Mortgage Forum” on WBNW and WESX and has appeared several times as a guest on the program “Keeping It Real…Estate.”
Looking to the future, Marroni hopes to continue developing honest relationships with real estate agents and divorce attorneys to expand his business, and he always makes sure to set aside some time to go skiing or read a good book on the beach.
