Michael Dunsky has been a standout in the mortgage banking industry for much of his 30-year career. He has been consistently ranked among the top loan officers in the nation by Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive magazine. Since launching Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.’s first Boston area branch in November 2016, he has helped build it into one of the company’s top-producing branches nationwide.
From first-time buyers to super jumbo loan borrowers, Dunsky’s clients come from all walks of life across the Boston and MetroWest region. They include real estate investors, move-up and downsizing buyers, and vacation home purchasers. He also assists clients with the complicated mortgage issues related to spousal separation, divorce or death.
Dunsky’s mission is to go above and beyond for his clients to make the home financing process as seamless as possible. “Customer care is one of the most important things we can focus on for our clients, and it is critical to differentiating ourselves in today’s market,” says Dunsky. “You can never go too far in exceeding your clients’ expectations.”
While Dunsky sees the mortgage banking business transitioning toward a technology model, he still believes that a personal touch is vital throughout the homebuying and refinancing process. “Borrowers and their real estate professionals crave personal contact, but this need is getting lost among all the recent technological advances. While I embrace technology, my team and I still make time for phone calls and face-to-face consultations with our clients and partners.”
Dunsky’s passion for helping others extends beyond his career. He has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 1996 and raises funds for RESPOND, a Boston-based group that assists victims of domestic violence.
As the mortgage market and industry evolve, Dunsky looks forward to embracing the changes and continuing to exceed expectations into 2019 and beyond.
