Northeastern Financial LLC

Joseph M. Garjian aims to provide the best residential mortgage solution for every client, regardless of how long the process takes. As the president and founder of Northeastern Financial LLC, he works with a wide range of Massachusetts-based buyers, from first-time homebuyers to investors to individuals in the market for a luxury vacation home. For 12 years, Garjian has worked tirelessly in the real estate industry, first as the vice president and then senior vice president of two brokerage firms in Boston before starting Northeastern Financial in 2011.

Since then, Garjian has hired and trained a staff of licensed loan officers, ensuring that all his employees have both the intellectual prowess and customer service skills to best aid their clients. Within the past year, Northeastern Financial has doubled its amount of loan originations and revenue from the previous year and has been able to maintain steady business through referrals alone.

Garjian chalks up these accomplishments to his team’s persistence and personalized service. “Clients do not feel like just a number because they aren’t treated as such,” he says. “Some come to us with very difficult situations, and part of our job is to be problem-solvers and to help arrange the financing for a new home. Whether this takes 20 days or three years, we stick with them.”

Garjian also stresses his devotion to detail and how everyone on his team is expected to “be detail-oriented so potential issues can be identified from the onset. To be successful, you need to know the guidelines in and out, ask the right questions, collect the proper paperwork in advance and perform your due diligence before starting your clients on the homebuying path. It is an injustice to potential clients not to do so.”

Garjian graduated with honors from Northeastern University in Boston, where he was a member of the university’s rugby team and president of his fraternity. He is currently a member of the National Association of Independent Housing Professionals, as well as the Freemasons. He is also an active supporter of nonprofit organization, such as MYCHIP and the Angel Fund. As a husband and father of three young children, Garjian prides himself on balancing family with business, a challenge with which many of his clients can identify.
